The Buffet at Belterra: Reviews & Ratings
Fun Valentines overnight stay. Love the Casino. We had so much fun. Won a little and lost a little and that's okay.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Belterra and plan on returning soon! I've attached a video tour of the room to this review, but overall it was a great room. It had a comfortable king size bed with plenty of dense pillows as well as a large cylindrical decorative pillow, a nice lounge chair, office desk, a bedside table on both sides of the bed, and a decent medium sized TV. The hotel menu on the TV was adequate but I was hoping to be able to connect to more than just YouTube and Netflix. Also, the remote itself was kind of awkward and difficult to use in the dark. There were plenty of dresser drawers under the TV, a small fridge, and an armoire which included a safe and a blindlingly bright light above it. The bathroom was phenomenal! It was extremely spacious with a stand up glass shower, it's own TV, and great jacuzzi tub. The water got more than hot enough fast and had a ton of water pressure so filling up the jacuzzi tub took no time at all! Slight deduction for the lack of a microwave and the view mainly being hindered by a gaudy parking garage. I also only had one large towel, which I found odd. I know you can always call for me that just stood out for some reason. I was there on a Sunday night in late February on the 10th floor and It was quiet as a mouse when I went to sleep that evening, but that may be accounted to the lack of people there that evening. The pool was closed due to the season and I didn't get an opportunity to watch a show or visit any of the on-site shopping, restaurants, spa, or other amenities but I'm planning a future trip there where I hope to experience more of what the Belterra has to offer. The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere southern hilly Indiana so it seemed pretty remote and some of the roads I had to take were the old country 1.5 lane narrow roads which was both incredibly scenic but also a little dangerous at the same time - especially if the roads are bad. The casino was adequate, but nothing terribly exciting. It's split into 2 floors with a couple elevators and an escalator which happened to be undergoing maintenance at the time of my visit. The upper level held the table games and most of the newer slots while the lower level seemed to be for the older machines and lower paying slots. The table games included what you would expect - craps, roulette, blackjack, three card poker, and a few others. The high limit slot areas were just through a small unlabeled door with no signage so it felt unclear if I should be there or not but I just assumed it was ok since the doors weren't blocked off. There were plenty of Soda stations and ATM/Cash stations scattered around so it was easy to find a nearby restroom when needed or to cash in your vouchers. Finally, the few staff I interacted with were all very friendly, though when inquiring about available awards it took quite a bit of time as their systems seem incredibly slow and antiquated. This is no slight on the employee that helped me but the slowness and poor user experience of the Boyd Rewards mobile app and webtite which all felt dated and clunky. Overall, I really enjoyed my brief stay and look forward to updating this review when I have the opportunity to visit again!
Had our wedding there in September! It was beautiful, and while worth the price, Nicole wasn’t just a wedding coordinator for Belterra but became family to us. The food tasting was amazing, and on the wedding day, she was standing by for me. She even fired my dress before I walked down the aisle. There were just minor details left out, nothing that stopped my day from happening. If nothing went wrong on your wedding day, you’re blessed. Overall, my dreams came true, and I have beautiful pictures!
We had a wonderful time! The casino was really fun and who doesn't have fun with a little drink. The hotel was nice but a/c wasnt the world's greatest. I highly suggest the Stadium restaurant, the food and service was outstanding.
Everything was wonderful from the casino to the welcoming staff! We absolutely loved our dealer at the Black Jack table Joshua, he was the reason we stayed as long as we did!! Our massages were beyond amazing as well. Our room was beautiful, the only thing I would change is adding microwaves to the rooms. After a night downstairs all you want to do is come back and warm up some leftovers and go to sleep but you really can't because there was no microwave. Other than that everything was great!!
Display gets around really fast you can be around at this place for so long because the casino here is really big. You can walk so many miles to get to your room which is really nice. Also getting to your room. You guys get to see if there’s a concert going on too, but if you guys don’t get tickets for it that’s OK because sometime you guys can see like what’s going on there
We love going to Belterra. Its a beautiful property and the staff is friendly. Good selection of casino games and slots. Our room was great!!! Very clean, spacious, and pretty. We have eaten at all the restaurants on site. Take your pick. They are all yummy!!! There is also a gift shop if you forgot anything. And they have a nice golf course. Belterra is located between Louisville and Cincinnati off i-71. There aren't a lot of lodging options between these 2 cities, so this makes a perfect stop. They also offer oversize parking. The rooms have also have small fridge and coffee maker.
Just got back from a 2 days stay. Hotel Very clean, Rooms nice, clean. Staff great. This is one of the smallest casino's we have visited within the Boyd chain. While very clean and spacious there isn't a lot. Machines were good. Won all our money back plus a bit. The second floor which is actually downstairs/elevator/escalator from the main floor is full of a lot of older reel machines. Few video machines, some we know to be 20 years old. The space is nice but could be updated. Restaurants are very limited. Food was good. Location. In the middle of no where. Nothing around except the river. Good hour drive from a main highway to the location. All in all our stay was nice. Would we go back ? If driving through the area we would stop but not make it a pointed destination.
